Shilpa’s vote takes a backseat due to IPL
While SRK made it a point to come to India from South Africa to vote, Shilpa Shetty unfortunately couldn’t get enough of her IPL commitments and instead skipped the voting procedure.
She says, “I just regret the fact that I won’t be in India to cast my vote; I really wanted to this time. Elections have to be taken seriously if you are a responsible citizen. Unfortunately with the unexpected turn of events and the IPL being shifted to SA it’s become difficult. I would not miss voting for anything otherwise.”
However she says, “But to all those Indian citizens who want the best for our country, now is the time to make the decision, don’t waste your democratic right to choose. Vote!”

Shahid Kapoor - Am not a Casanova
Shahid Kapoor was first dating Hrishita Bhatt when he was new in the industry, then it was Kareena Kapoor, then he was rumored to be dating tennis sensation Sania Mirza, then his Kismet Konnection co-star Vidya Balan and now it is Priyanka Chopra, his co-star from Kaminey. Naturally some people are branding Shahid as a Casanova, but Shahid thinks otherwise.
Shahid says, “Casanova now? I really haven’t been in as many relationships as people are making it out to be. But there is a thought that I have been in a relationship for a long time and I don’t want to get into another one right away. I am enjoying my single status but I am no Casanova.”

Rakhi Sawant receives a whooping 12,500 proposals
While many beautiful girls face a lot of rejection when their parents look out for a match for them, Rakhi Sawant is one girl who is lucky in this arena, the girl has got a whooping 12,515 propsals in just 20 days.
Rakhi Sawant who announced that she will find a guy to get married through a reality show on NDTV Imagine, has recieved proposals from around the world, ranging from doctors, NRI’s, models to businessmen mostly in the age group of 18-35.
Rakhi is obviously quite overwhelmed with the turn of affairs and says, “I want to thank everybody for their continued support. This huge response has proved to everybody that my ’swayamvara’ and ’shaadi’ (wedding) is not a joke. My only wish is to find a person who will always be my support system and will respect me for what I am.”
Rakhi after a gruelling selection procedure, will handpick 15 grooms, she will take the help of the audience to zero on her ideal man.

The two Bollywood youngies became friends while attending speech workshops organised by Sanjay Gadhvi before the shooting schedule of their flick.
Katrina in all her humour said to Imran that she was taller as well as heavier than him. This did not go well with Imran who immediately took up her challenge and proved her wrong by getting his height and weight mesausred.
The guy is indeed taller than Katrina and is five kilos heavier than the busty babe.

Bollywood comes in heaps to vote
Bollywood actors and actresses all kept up to their responsibilities by religiously voting in the final phase of LS election in Maharashtra.
Aamir said, “Being an Indian it is our duty to exercise our voting rights. No matter where I am, I will come out and vote. I am very proud as an Indian to be a part of the voting fraternity.”
Aamir Khan and John Abraham were the early birds to cast their votes as they did it early in the morning.
Later in the afternoon Bachchan parivar, comprising of Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya made a beeline to cast their vote in Juhu.
SRK made it from SA in time to cast his vote at Bandra polling station.
SRK said, “Being an actor and perhaps as someone people like to follow or listen to if I don’t vote, everything that I endorse and all the jobs that I do, become irrelevant. Because the first endorsement I should give is for the electoral process.”
Other celebrities who took an active part in voting, were Sonam Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Sanjay Dutt, Farhan Akhtar, Karan Johar, Sonali Bendre amongst many others.
Aishwarya to work with Vivek? Naah!
Last week buzz was hot that Aishwarya Rai is all set to pair up with her ex-lover Vivek Oberoi in Satish Kaushik’s upcoming flick Tansen which will also star Abhishek Bachchan.
However Satish slams the news, saying, “I’ve been getting so many calls from people asking me whether I have cast Vivek Oberoi in Tansen along with Abhishek and Aishwarya and the answer is no such thing has happened.”
“I’ve not approached Vivek, Salman Khan or even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the film. I had only mentioned Abhishek’s name saying he is someone who can play the role well as he also has a certain star status and fan following.”
When he pressurized to give a clear explanation, Satish transfers his burden on Rajshri Productions.
Rajshri’s rep Mr Gupta, says, “We have spoken to Abhishek about Tansen and he had agreed to sit with us for the narration once our script is done. We are still busy scripting the film. Ravindra Jain is doing the music. I don’t know who started these rumours about Vivek and Salman being a part of Tansen. We haven’t even approached Ash as yet.”

Eesha Koppikar says love at first sight is bullshit
When she was quizzed whether her love for Timmy Narang was love at first sight, she says, “No not at all. Love at first sight is bullshit, love only happens when you get to know that person. Love at first sight always lasts in disaster because sight is physical. Timmy and I got to known each other pretty well in last two year’s conversation that we used to have.”
“Well I know Timmy for the last two years. I met him in a gym. I met him through Leena Mogre and we kept in touch. Preity Zinta was instrumental in our love story as she told him about me but that time he already knew quite a lot about me.”

Emraan Hashmi duped
Emraan only came to know about the theft when HSBC staff called him to enquire about the 11 transactions he made through his credit card, which amounted to Rs 2 lakhs.
However a shocked Emraan, immediately informed the police about the theft and blocked his card.
Emraan says, “I received a call from the bank informing me about the outgoings. I was completely stunned. Most of the 11 transactions had been for airline tickets, but I hadn’t made a single one of them. I immediately blocked my card. “
“It’s scary when such things happen. People tend to visit restaurants and pubs and hand over their credit cards without any hesitation. But I guess they can easily be misused. I want to figure out who is behind the theft and I want him punished”
Well I hope the bitter lesson learnt by Emraan is a strong lesson for us to learn so that we don’t face such circumstances ever in life.
Kareena works 36-hours non-stop
Kareena is currently filming Kambaqt Ishq, 3 Idiots, Mr and Mrs Khanna, Agent Vinod and Rensil D’Silva’s untitled flick.
A source reveals, “She just went rushing from one set to another, shooting continuously without complaining about tiredness or lack of sleep. The unit members of her films were saying this is what stars are made of.”
Priyanka rules out politics right now
A source says, “The Congress wanted a glamorous and younger Bollywood candidate after Govinda for the prestigious Mumbai North constituency.
Someone who would connect with the young urban youth of the nation. Initially Priyanka didn’t say no. But then her bulk of film-related work got the better of her.
Shooting day and night and then putting in months of gruelling election campaigning and devoting quality and quantity time to her constituency seemed a bit much for Priyanka. She finally had to say no, although Soniaji was very keen.”
However a friend of Priyanka says, “Priyanka doesn’t rule out politics in the future.
But this time she is neither contesting nor campaigning for any candidate. Besides her schedules taking over Govinda’s constituency seemed a rather daunting task to Priyanka.”

A source reveals, “Kajol and Kareena have been finalized for Karan Johar’s forthcoming film, which will start once the actors are free from their on-going films.”
The flick is loosely based on Hollywood super hit flick, Stepmom, which starred Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts.
A source commenting on the casting of Kajol and Kareena says, “Karan, who is directing Kajol in My Name Is Khan is very happy with her work. The same holds true for Kareena, who is working opposite Saif Ali Khan in a project directed by Rensil D’Silva.”
When Kareena’s secretary was asked about the same, he said, “Kareena would never say no to Karan.”

SRK to dance at a wedding for 3 crore
With SRK’s IPL team Kolkatta Knight Riders on a losing spree, SRK is looking to buck up the losses by performing at a high profile wedding for a whooping Rs 3 crore.
SRK will take a break from losing KKR to come to Mumbai and to perform at builder Kanti Govani’s nephew’s wedding.
SRK will be performing with other Bollywood actors such as Rani Mukherjee, Emraan Hashmi and Bipasha Basu. While the sangeet ceremony will have Neil Nitin Mukesh, Celina Jaitely and Neha Dhupia.
With the whooping Rs 3 crore offer, SRK is the highest paid Item boy (the opposite of item girl) in Bollywood, aint’ he?
Big B’s Aladin all set to take on Harry Potter
Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh is ready with his next babyu Aladin starring Big B as the genie and Rietesh as Aladin and the director claims that it is on par with Hollywood magical movies Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings.
He says, “Our funda was simple, we had to make a movie which is indeed world class. Indian audiences aren’t alien to ‘Harry Potter’ or The Lord of the Rings series. We couldn’t have given them anything less. We knew it would cost a lot of money but somehow we had an inkling that we would be able to raise it.”
The flick also has Sanjay Dutt playing the role of a villain and the music is composed by musical duo Vishal and Shekhar.
Sonam Kapoor grounded
Anil Kapoor is a strict dad and this is the reason why Sonam Kapoor was grounded after she returned home late at night.
A source reveals, “When it comes to his children, Anil Kapoor is a disciplinarian and has set rules and regulations for them. And the obedient children always abide by them. But recently Sonam reached home at about 4 a.m., after an outing with her friends. This did not go down too well with her dad and he reprimanded her and imposed a penalty - that she be grounded at home for the next one month, barring her professional commitments . And the child has taken the punishment without any protest.”
Anil is quite disciplined and protective about his kids, as the source adds, “Sonam is always guarded by two security escorts wherever she steps out of the house. Anil knows the ways of the industry and is very protective of his girl. “
However there was no confirmation from Sonam’s side about the story as she just said, ” I am always on time.”

However Akki says, “I had no intentions of going. But the Delhi Daredevils did it. Although this year I’m no longer professionally or financially associated with the team I had to go for their sake to the IPL match on Sunday. There I met up with my buddy Preity Zinta and naturally the cameras went berserk. So what if her team was playing against the Delhi Daredevils? Off the field we’re still the best of friends. But that’s it. I won’t be attending any of the other matches.”
Akki also joked, “First it was Preity’s darshan, now I go for Priyadarshan,” talking about resuming his shooting for Dan Dana Dan.
It would’ve been exciting if Akki had attended Daredevils vs Rajasthan Royals, ex versus ex that would’ve be exciting.

SRK’s heart is heavy ‘coz of KKR
SRK’s IPL team Kolkatta Knight Riders, have not shown any dhamaal in all their four matches and features at the bottom in the leaderboard because of low wins and low run rate.
SRK’s team lost recently to Shila’s Royals, which left him clearly dejected and especially after Yousuf Pathan blasted KKR’s spinner in the super over.
So SRK on KKR’s official website blogged about the loss of his team to Royals.
He said, “…Since the commencement of this season, we have a trail of one win out of three, which is not a good position to be in.”
“In attempting to give it our best, our team has taken lots of unpopular decisions. Starting with, the multiple captains to choices of whom we play in which match. A truckload of criticism from all quarters has been dumped at our doorsteps. Every time I go and sit in the stadium, I feel the weight of all the choices made.”
It’s time KKR’s buck up and give their best performance!
Akki upset with the hungama over unbutton act
Little did Akki know that being unbuttoned by his wife would lead to his arrest.
Akshay says, “Why is there so much interest in one button on my jeans when there are so many really critical problems facing the country including the Lok Sabha elections.”
“It was nothing. Last year, too, a girl opened one button on my jeans as part of an endorsement because the campaign signified freedom. This time it was my wife. It was not a last-minute improvisation on the ramp. It was all part of the act. In a country hit by poverty and economic recession, someone makes an issue about my wife unbuttoning my jeans! They should appreciate the fact that I asked Twinkle rather than a stranger.”
Akshay who was the named the highest tax payer from Bollywood this year says, “Here I am being declared the highest taxpayer by the government. Isn’t it strange that the same government thought of arresting me instead of appreciating the hard work that went into adding some money into its coffers?”

Hate mail about Aamir circulating the net
A hate mail about Aamir Khan and his intelligence is being circulated around the net, and the author of the mail is allegedly director Nitin Desai who takes on Aamir and his knowledge about the current war between distributors and Multiplex owners.
According to mail Aamir is not as intelligent as he portrays himself to be. The mail links to a blogsite allegedly written by Nitin Desai where he mocks at Aamir for supporting distributors but in real life asking huge share from Ghajini’s success for himself.
However director Desai, denies this allegations and says, “I have absolutely no clue about what you are saying. Who is that Nitin Desai? I have worked with Aamir and have high regard for him. Who am I to point out Aamir’s mistakes? I am too small to take any panga with Aamir. There has to be some mistake or some mischief. I have got nothing to do with it and I have no clue about who is using my name to spread such things.”
Desai added, “I am too busy with my work, making my sets and creating new ideas for the same. I definitely have no clue whatsoever and have no time to write blogs and blame Aamir Khan for anything.”

Shahid makes Priyanka lose the booze
Priyanka Chopra’s recent health scare has boyfriend Shahid taking strict measures for her, she is off alcohol now and is seriously into Yoga.
A source says, “Shahid had been advising Priyanka not to overstress herself. He has also asked her to take up yoga and meditation to keep herself fit and relaxed. However, since she had allotted dates for Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Rashee? there was no way she could back out.”
Piggy Chops has promised beau Shahid that she will abstain from booze. Lets see how she fulfills her promise.
SRK to be banned from watching IPL live?
SRK at a recent Kolkatta Knight Riders match was telecast on TV smoking, and this has made Anti-Smoking group to take strict against him.
The National Organization for Tobacco Eradication(NOTE) has issued a statement to South African National Council against Smoking (NACS) to ask the official broadcasters of IPL to not to telecast any footage of people or celebrities smoking.
NCAS’s convener, Peter Ucko says, “We have sent the details to Supersport, who are the official broadcasters of the IPL and the NCAS is in the process of soliciting an agreement that they will not show anyone smoking.”
Ucko on a serious not adds, “If Khan does it again we will ask the management to caution him, or we will seek his removal from the stadium.”
“We have also asked the stadium management to make no smoking announcements through the match and during drinks breaks.”
This sounds like a serious threat for SRK, with KKR losing most of its matches, a tense SRK is bound to smoke, lets hope KKR wins and SRK abstains from smoking from now onwards.
Salman will be singing now
Salman Khan who was last held the mike for singing for Hello Brother for the song Chandi Ki Daal will again be heard singing for his upcoming flick Wanted.
Incidently Salman’s Chandi ki Daal was also directed by musical duo Sajid-Wajid and he is again singing for the duo.
Sajid says, “And as far as this song is concerned, all that I can say is that it’s a resultant of the long-time pending urge that he was nurturing to sing. Over a period of time, after regular jamming, we (Wajid and me) realised that Salman has become very melodious and versatile in his verses and voice.”
“And believe me; you will be shocked when you hear this song and most importantly, when you hear Salman bhai touching high notes like a true professional. Overall, it’s a song to watch out for with bated breath.”
Salman apparently gave his personal touch the song, by personally picking it amongst 101 tunes.

Sanju baba visits mother’s home
The house is currently leased to Sett Family which consists of Uttam Kr Sett, his mother Asham, wife Rita and daughter Shilp and Shruti.
Rita in her excitement says, “He’s modesty personified. The way he sought permission from us to look around the house, speaks volumes about how Sanjay Dutt is, as a person. He addressed my sasu maa as naniji and even touched her feet. Tears were welling up in his eyes. Once he was shown the room where Nargis was born, he locked himself in for five minutes and prayed.”
Uttam Sett also gives his inputs, he says, “His visit was strictly personal. Our family has been living in this house for the past 60 years, but we had not seen the Dutt family taking any interest. That Sanjay Dutt would ever come down was beyond our imagination.”
Well that’s how are Sanju Baba is unpredictable and humble.

Well Dev Patel’s mother has broken the bomb, 19 year old Dev Patel and 24 year old Freida Pinto are indeed a couple and the teenager’s mom is quite happy about the new woman in Dev’s life.
Anita Patel says, “First it was the film and now everything else seems to have slotted into place.”
“Life can’t get any better for him. Freida is really beautiful and I am really happy for them. Yes, we knew he was flying to Israel to see her.”

Salman does a hit & run awareness ad
A source says, “The ad talks about how people just ignore those who are in distress on roads when hit by someone. It shows a man hit by a vehicle who is left to die.”
Nikhil Saini who directs the ad says, Yes, Salman has done a 90-second ad with us. After the story unfolds, Salman comes to give a public service message. He is wearing ‘Being human’ shirt and he says, “Apni zimmidari se mat bhagiye. Responsible aur zimmedar logo ki zaroorat hai is desh ko.” The ad also has Vipin Sharma, (Darsheel Safary’s father in Tare Zameen Par) and Shailendra Gaur, in it. We are quite hopeful of driving home the point.”
Now it will be quite exciting to see whether people take his awareness ad seriously or just shrug it off.

Amole Gupte finding it tough to rope in a big star?
Despite the bouquets and awards he won for his debut film Taare Zameen Par, it is not exactly being a rosy path for creative director of the film, Amole Gupte. It is learnt from industry sources that he is now facing problems finding a big star for his next film Sapno Ko Ginte Ginte.
Sources reveal, “Despite a great showcase of his talent in Aamir Khan’s TZP, Amole is finding it extremely tough to convince a big A list star to do his film. The film like his earlier film also centers around a child and sees his directorial debut. One can recollect Amole was earlier scheduled to direct TZP but was later replaced by producer Aamir Khan when he decided to act and direct the film himself. Many have seen this as the precursor of the fallout between Aamir and him.”
In this regard, Amole has been heard stating that he is waiting for a big star to agree to do his film and unless that happens, he cannot go ahead with my project. Meanwhile, Amole shall soon be seen making his acting debut in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey in a villain’s role.Akshay and Bobby Deol’s wives back to being friends

We are seeing her being a regular to her Bandra store, ‘The White Window’ almost every day now. She is nowadays often seen sitting on the patio with her guests sipping on coffee and chatting up with them. Now till just few weeks back Twinkle was always a reluctant visitor to her own store and could hardly be seen making a visit leave alone sitting outside by the fear of getting mobbed. Also it also seems that the turn of events have given her a new perspective on life and friendships as she’s trying to mend her bridges with long lost friends and the main amongst them being Bobby Deol’s wife, Tanya. Both being interior designers, were once upon a time very close friends as were their hubbies. They had in fact even collaborated on several projects together. Tanya even stocked her designs at Twinkle’s store till the time they had acrimonious fallout. No one really knew what had happened but the things soured between the two, and their acrimony affected their husband’s relationships too. But now Twinkle decided to make peace and sent her version of olive branch to Tanya in the form of some of her latest designs she wanted Mrs. Deol to look at and give a feedback on. John Abraham’s ‘friendly’ gesture for Uday Chopra
The Dostana magic has worked wonders for John Abraham and he is today busy with 8 projects on hand. But despite that, he has not let air go in his head and forget his old friends. Sources reveal that he is making a friendly appearance in a small but significant part in Uday Chopra’s come back film of sorts, Love Impossible. Uday and John have been friends since the time they did Dhoom together. They both have been biker buddies since both are biking fans. It is learnt that it was Uday who made a call to John and requested him to do the guest role. John apparently plays himself in the film and there are constant references to John Abraham - the star in the film’s script. But it is learnt that John didn’t even care what his role in the film was before saying yes to it. He’s also adjusted his dates with other projects to accommodate Uday’s film, which needs only 4 days of his time.”
Well may be perhaps John Abraham knows that these 4 days may well be his re-entry ticket for Dhoom series with Dhoom 3. Incidentally, Uday backed out of John Abraham starrer Hook Ya Crook as he was more kicked about about his home production.

After battling with cancer for a year, veteran actor, producer and director Feroz Khan met with death on Monday night at 1.30 at his farm house located in his home town Bangalore. His family said that his funeral is due to take place in Bangalore later today. Making his debut with Didi in 1960, Feroz Khan has given some major hits like Qurbani, Yalgaar and Jaanbaaz. His performance in film Dharmatma was also highly appreciated. Some of his other hit films include Teesra Kaun and Dayavan. His last flick was 2007 released Welcome. The stylish actor has also been honoured with many prestigious award in his long successful career in Bollywood. We offer our hearty condolences to his family and friends and may his soul rest in peace

Feroz Khan, who strode into the film scene in the late 60’s with stunt films like Reporter Raju and once dubbed “the Clint Eastwood of the East” because of his maverick roles and manly swagger is no more amidst us. The swashbuckling hero was first among the actors to swagger and often used to leave his shirt unbuttoned to reveal a brawny chest and had a fetish to sport tight-fitting trousers.
The stylish and suave actor passed away post-midnight in Bangalore after a long fight against cancer, at the age of 69. Khan who was conferred with the Life Time Achievement Award by Stardust earlier this year was diagnosed with cancer last year and treated at a private hospital in Mumbai before he was discharged earlier this month. Luckily, his family was at his bedside when he died. The actor was born to a father with Afghan roots and a mother of Iranian origin and brought up in Bangalore. He found fame in films like Oonche Log and Arzoo, both in 1965.
As a producer and director, he made Dharmatma, the first Hindi-language movie made on location in Afghanistan and inspired by The Godfather. It was with the 1980 Qurbani that he scored his biggest hit as an actor, producer and director, introducing foreign locations to Bollywood that are today the norm. Ferozbhai repeated his success with films like Janbaaz and Dayavaan in the 1980s.
Known for his ability to push boundaries, Ferozbhai as I used to call him was a personal favorite of mine. Since he was known for his short temper, in the initial stage of my career as a cub reporter, I was quite scared of the actor, who became a personal favorite of mine. Once, Ferozbhai called me at his bungalow for breakfast but though I landed at the dot of 9 a.m, he was sleeping and his wife Sundari asked me to wait till he woke up.When he woke up at 12 noon, Ferozbhai was profusely apologetic for having overslept because he had gone to sleep only by 5 a.m after editing his film Yalgaar
Though I interviewed him, I politely declined his offer to have whisky and lunch with him since I had yet another appointment for lunch. To my embarrassment, Ferozbhai came to see me off at the gate and once again apologized to me for not keeping his break fast date with me. To my pleasant surprise, a bouquet of roses with a bottle of Black Label and a box of chocolates, with a note of apology awaited me at my house.
My condolences are with his son Fardeen and his brothers Sanjay Khan, who I call Abbasbhai, Sameer Khan and Akbar Khan. Kangana Ranaut played a fashion model in Fashion and then Raaz 2.
The role carryover race continues with Emran Hashmi who plays a painter in Raaz 2.
He’s now playing the same role in Kunal(Jannat) Deshmukh’s Tum Miley.
“But with a difference. You see, this time I actually paint. In Raaz I wasn’t really able to do much of that. All the paintings were done beforehand and I didn’t get a chance to paint on screen apart from a few strokes.”
In Tum Miley Emran’s newly-discovered painting skills will go a lot further. “I’m shown to be a far more intricate painter, doing not just brush painting but also charcoal etc. Here I can’t fake it. I’m using all the skills that I learnt as a painter in Raaz for Tum Miley.”
Emran seriously intends to pursue his painting. “And my character in Tum Miley is helping me do that. It’s my first intense love story.”
The film is based on the deluge in Mumbai on July 29, 2005. All the scenes depicting the couple coming together during the deluge were shot in one go on a studio set. Emran describes it as his first intense love story. “It’s also my first film with Soha Ali Khan. Do I kiss her? Let that be a secret. I consciously moved away from the serial kisser’s image in Raaz 2. I don’t want to be known for something so frivolous. I want to move on.”
Emran has also moved on from the Bhatts in Tum Miley. “This is a Percept film. I won’t say I’ve moved on. But yes I want to clear off the misconception that I work exclusively for the Bhatts.”Riteish was mighty excited about ‘Aladin’: Sujoy Ghosh
Sujoy Ghosh fondly remembers the support he received from Riteish Deshmukh, Vishal, Shekhar and others when he embarked on his long journey called ‘Aladin’. Even though he had delivered a flop in ‘Home Delivery’, each of these youngsters stood by him and ensured that he got their full support in the making of ‘Aladin’.
“In fact I had to curb Riteish’s excitement because the moment he knew that ‘Aladin’ was soon going to be a reality, he was jumping up and down at the very thought of it. He went on and on saying ‘Write it, write it, write it NOW!’”, fondly remembers Sujoy who has cast Riteish (his first choice in fact) in the title role of ‘Aladin’
Sujoy was in fact amused with Riteish’s amusement and even reminded him that he had recently delivered a flop in ‘Home Delivery’.
“I tried to tell him that ‘Dude I just had a flop film’. But then he wasn’t listening. He was just rolling on the floor with laughter and stated - “Yes. And with that you have added another flop to MY career, so now you owe me a hit”, says Sujoy.
Not many are aware that Riteish had featured in a ‘blink and you would miss’ appearance in ‘Home Delivery’ which was mainly a Vivek Oberoi starrer.
“Looking at Riteish’s enthusiasm about doing the film, I could draw parallels with one of those kids whom you would take to the zoo but bring back because there is no empty cage”, quips Sujoy.
Meanwhile Vishal and Shekhar, the composer duo who would be creating a hat trick with Sujoy after ‘Jhankaar Beats’ and ‘Home Delivery’, were on board in quick time as well. However, this too didn’t take place before a friendly banter between them.
“They were cool with the idea of ‘Aladin’ but wanted to know whether the songs composed by them would be filmed or not and that too in full. Even though I promised them that it will certainly be the case, they reminded me of ‘Home Delivery’ where that hadn’t turned out to be the case. They gave me a stare and grumbled that they didn’t believe me, but then I knew from the bottom of my heart that they would stick around; which they eventually did. They are my brothers and even if I walk on fire, they will walk with me. Yes, it happens only in India and I am proud to have such friends”, says an emotionally charged Sujoy.
Starring Amitabh Bachchan as Genius - The Genie, Ritiesh Deshmukh as Aladin and Sanjay Dutt as a cool villain, ‘Aladin’ also marks the debut of Sri Lankan beauty Jackie Fernandez who is paired opposite Ritiesh. ‘Aladin’ is produced by Eros International in association with Sujoy Ghosh’s production company Boundscript.
SRK to fly down with his team from South Africa to Vote
The Elections never seemed more special, what with the whole Bollywood fraternity pitching their vote bank with abundant accountability.
While many of the A-Listers like Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan will make sure they’re in Mumbai on April 30 to cast their vote, Shah Rukh Khan is going to go a step further.
He will be flying down from South Africa with his Knight Riders team just for a day on April 30 to cast their vote before flying back for their next match.
According to sources King Khan has requested Vijay Mallya who hosts a rival IPL team to lend him a private jet to make the whirlwind visit back a home possible.
Says a source close to the iconic actor, “Shah Rukh is very particular about exercising his voting rights. There was no way he’d miss the chance to cast his vote, or let his team members skip this important day in the Indian calendar. He’s very clear on the matter and would’ve insisted on heading home on April 30 even if a match was scheduled that day.”
Shah Rukh has even inspired rival team-leader Preity Zinta to not slip up on her democratic rights.

Son Fardeen Khan fulfilled a wish of his actor-filmmaker dad Feroz Khan just days before he passed away,
On Sunday night the veteran of films like ‘Qurbani’ and ‘Jaanbaaz’, died after a prolonged battle with cancer.
And Fardeen and sister Laila have been with their father all the while he was undergoing treatment at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital till recently
While at the hospital a few days back, the actor known for his unique style statements and his unflagging love for animals expressed his wish to visit his farmhouse in Bangalore to be with his pet animals, mainly horses and dogs.
Since his health was poor, the doctors were reluctant to give permission for a long journey but son Fardeen found a way.
While he waited for his dad’s condition to improve so that he can be discharged from the hospital, he made arrangements for a special chartered flight to Bangalore.
Last doctors gave Feroz the go-ahead for a short trip to Bangalore and on Friday morning, Fardeen, accompanied by nurses, flew his father to the farmhouse.
Feroz Khan got to spend nearly three days at his farm with his beloved animals before he breathed his last after midnight on Sunday.
So beta Fardeen really did his job really well.
